How to Tackle the Windows and Doors of Your Building Project

Building ProjectA lot goes into building projects. Chief among the aspects of these projects are window and door installations. Think about these in the context of a recent article in the Californian titled “County considers moving forward on building projects.”

According to the staff of the Californian, “The Monterey County Board of Supervisors’ Capital Improvement Committee, consisting of Dave Potter and Simon Salinas, is set to hold a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. Friday to consider a slew of projects the county proposes to undertake. The meeting will be in the Monterey Room on the second floor of the County Government Building, 168 W. Alisal St., Salinas. The committee will consider recommending $16 million in improvements to the old Capital One/Household Finance building at 1441 Schilling Place in the industrial part of Salinas. The county purchased that building last year over the protests of entities such as the Salinas Chamber of Commerce. Once improvements are made, the building would house 16 departments or ‘user groups,’ including the Resource Management Agency (formerly planning department), Water Resource Agency, Economic Development, Health, and Parks departments. ‘Many of these users will be eliminating a number of current leases, while enhancing the efficiency of these departments by creating a central location for county business. The 1441 Schilling Place project is well underway and it is projected tenants will move in by or before the spring of 2017,’ a report to the committee says.”
